Jeremiah Gittens is a multidisciplinary visual and performance artist. They are a settler born and raised on Lekwungen territories, and have spent the last three years in Tiohti:áke. Jeremiah is mixed race of celtic and afro-caribbean descent, trans-masculine, neurodivergent, and disabled. They use their art and poetry to build worlds in which they, and their peers, have the space to explore the depths and nuances of the intersections of personal identity. Jeremiah believes art is an alchemical process which allows one to transmute their deepest anguishes and turmoils into fertile ground in which the seeds of our most expansive desires can be planted.
Elder Sister Plum is a nonbinary folk musician who draws from their experiences with mental illness, the power of the natural world, and the complexities of human relationships and dynamics, to create poignant and captivating songs. www.facebook.com/eldersisterplum
Louise Rose believes that the first and last words of every day should be "Thank You." In short, her spiritual philosophy is the philosophy of gratitude. Musical from a very early age, Louise's capabilities and interests haven't exactly been restricted to making music. A native of Norristown Pennsylvania, she has, among other things, been a police officer, a Baptist missionary and a sociology teacher. But all that changed after she arrived in Victoria in the early 1970's and fell in love with British Columbia's capital city. While in a very real sense it is music that underscores all that Louise does and is, her questing nature has taken her beyond the limits of pure musicianship and into areas of expertise directly and indirectly related to her first love. www.lrose.com
